OBJECTIVE

The OBJECTIVE

To provide an creative studio space for the disabled youth with physical and mental disabilities ranging from 10 - 18 in Savannah, GA. Must include resources for self-guided goals and everyday life skills along with fun and engaging methods to retain information. The deliverables include several environmental spaces, three variations of posters, an interactive thinking game, and lastly, a space for those who are limited to proper education and parental guidance. All of these will be incorporated to promotes self-directed learning, sharpen critical and creative skills, opportunity for employment, and an expression for those who are voiceless.

SOLUTION

Promotional flyers incorporated to spread the business name along with gaining a sense of trust. The environmental space includes several layouts that explore a comfy and well lit space for students to study and interact, to foster a peace of mind, clarity , focus, following relaxing and emotional stability. The design elements include a puzzle piece in order to express the connections and the importance of process, how to develop strategies, piece together reflections of life in a creative manner. The texture is a vibrant green collage painting on wood in order to replicate an art aspect. Sans-serif font to provide a sense of “moving forward”. The last component consists of an interactive creative game with improvisational actions, storytelling, drawing, collaboration, challenges, and design thinking strategies towards creative solutions.
